You can be involved
Are you interested in becoming a KWPA program maker? Do you have an idea for a program that you want to discuss? We want to hear from you, so please use our application form for program makers.
The form asks for a great deal of information but don’t feel that you have to have all the answers before you come and talk to us. Fill in what you can, and we can take it from there.
To get you thinking, here are some possibilities. Perhaps one of them might appeal to you, or spark off a better idea.
- Whidbey out of doors – trails, beaches, walks, exploring, etc.
- Fishing – rules, seasons, tips, places, etc
- Boating – yachts, kayaks, power, cruising, racing
- Hot topics – balanced discussions on topics of interest
- Coupeville Town Council meetings
- Island County Commissioners’ meetings
- Featured performers – conversation and performances, solo and bands
- Gardening – hints, tips, features, discussions
- Homeowners – tips, regulations, features
- Whidbey people – interviews with people of interest
- Island history – historical societies and sites, historic buildings
- What we do – clubs, organizations and societies
- Sports news – school and adult sports reports: footbal, soccer, baseball, golf, etc
- Spotlight on our school – reports from classes and classrooms
- Books of the month – discussion on books in local shops and libraries
- Music - styles of music, explanation and comments, discussion
- Issues that affect Whidbey Island
