Isle of the Arts

Whidbey Air is proud to host Mary Rose Anderson’s show Isle of the Arts. The show is aired every Monday (live or rebroadcast of listener requested shows) – and re-aired each week on the following Thursday at 10am and the following Saturday at 3pm

Mary Rose has a focus on local arts, be it music, literature, poetry, culinary pursuits and 1, 2 or 3 dimentional art. It’s ART on our Isle with Mary Rose!

February 6th – Local Iconographer, Jill Reed of Oak Harbor on the ancient Brizantine tradition of sacred “art” (rebroadcast)

February 20th – Literary Agent, Publisher, and Dean of San Francisco Writer’s University, Laurie McClean of San Francisco (rebroadcast)

February 26th – Writer/Lawyer/Retired Cop, Mike McNeff of Coupeville on new, action-packed, good-guys
versus the bad-guys, smart thriller: ” GOTU”

March 5th – Local Musician, Singer & Vocal Percussionist Jim Castaneda of Coupeville will showcase new, original material and more!

March 12th – Local Radio &Theater Director & Co-Founder of Penn Cove Productions Elizabeth Herbert of Greenbank will showcast some of the “bests” of the past 1.5 years of “Postcards from Whidbey Island” monthly radio show performances

March 19th – Local Performing Artist & Member of Whidbey Playhouse Alenda Jenkins of Oak Harbor will bring cast and crew for “The Curious Savage” production playing in April
